Other warm-blooded creatures that are not categorized as mammals (with the notable exception of the confounding Platypus) are egg-layers, and include birds (feathered) and reptiles (scaled) among others.
Some plants, such as tomatoes, have "trichomes" which are similar in appearance to hair, but actually lack the diverse structures that define actual hair.
