Was giddy with excitement yesterday as a fox jumped over the fence into my back garden which is enclosed. Rushed to get my phone to take a pic - its a smart phone type, never had one before and just getting used to it - dithered trying to take a photo (pressing like mad in the wrong place) when foxy spotted me and decided to scarper, jumping back over the fence to get to the fields (we live in a rural area) I know loads of people don't like foxes for whatever reason, but I do. Thinking about it, it would have been so much better if I had stood still and just watched him instead of running around like a mad thing!

I feel very sorry for foxes, but I don't feed them.
Don't like them in garden....get too brazen and make a real mess with droppings and scavenging...
we have loads in the capital, the only objection is when they are looking for a mate, the noise is unearthly, one lonely soul woke me one morning around 3, made my blood curdle.
I agree em.....then when they find their mate it sounds like a murder is taking place :)
Part of the family income when I was a kid came from poultry breeding.
Foxes were not our friends.
I still regard them as vermin.
Lots of people call them vermin but they are not on DEFRA's official list of vermin. They are just trying to survive like everyone else.
Plenty of Foxes round here until recently. They suddenly disappeared and over the next few weeks the majority were found dead - probably poisoned by someone (not me!) fed up with their screeching, sh!tting and bin raiding.
I love foxes, they are very clever adapting to what life is throwing at them.
