What would you put on the ground to encourage blackbirds to come and hopefully get near you to feed off your hands? (I envy Barmaid!) lol

There is a Magpie (same one every time) that will land feet away from the dog and hop towards his food. The dog then gets up and chases the Magpie all the way down the garden where the bird perches on the fence until the dog gets there. As soon as the dog arrives the Magpie will fly the length of the garden and steal a pellet of food and fly away.
This goes on time after time and never fails to make me laugh. The dog is dumber than a dumb thing because he always falls for it.

Mine are quite tame ,they'll do anything for a raisin or a bit of apple :)
