Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the black spots which are all over my climbing roses please. The roses are too high for me to reach.

Any garden centre should be able to sell you a pressure sprayer (with a long lance, to reach up high). Suitable fungicides are mentioned on the RHS website: http://apps. rhs.org.uk/a dvicesearch/ Profile.aspx ?PID=270

In my experience Black Spot returns every year. Never cured it yet. There is a lot of info on the Net regarding starting treatment early in the year by clearing the area and stuff, removing debris so the mould doesn't return to the soil, oh lots of advice, including not planting roses where the problem is, and going for spot resistant varieties. IMO when you have it, then you have it.
