New folk further down takes their dogs along to use the grass across the road from me as a toilet.

As I've yet to see him pick up any doggy doo, I thought I'd offer. The rest of the family do pick it up.

He said he did, told him I must have blinked and missed it.

No question, just a rant.

Well done for saying something alba, I wouldn't have the guts. There's an incredible number of dog owners round me who don't bother picking up their mess.

I was with a friend in the park once walking our dogs and we saw this man who NEVER picked up after his dog, so my friend pulled out her camera and started to take a photo of him, he picked the mess up quick smart after that! He had a bag with him, but was obviously of the opinion that he'd only pick it up if someone saw him - twonk ! Well done alba.

He normally stands outside another naighbours house and lets the doggies off onto the grass, I think I might just stand with my my mobile and photograph him next time.
Whether I take photos or not, is for me to know and not him.

Btw, all the other albas were kinda embarrassed :-D

Prudie, it's a £40 fine if anyone ever gets caught. That's the thing though really, no-one gets caught.
I reckon a £60 fine would be better.

If he ever shows his face again, I will take photos, I've also got his address :-D

I always pick up the mess, one day whilst doing that a little girl about 6ys old said to me "don't do that my mum doesn't she says let the council do it" I was shocked and stood there and explained to her why it was my dog and my responsibility but she just said " I think my mum is right so does my dad".How do you educate these morons ?

Do you have a dog warden you can alert, send your photos to?

My friend picks up the dog poo but then hangs the bag on the bedge - she says it's biodegradable, but that just isn't the point.... i don't want hedgeshite falling on me when I walk past.

The couple a few doors down from me used to let their two large dogs out for a wander (before bed I assume) at night, I'd usually know when as one of the cats would usually come hurtling through the window).

A few times I looked out and they were on my front lawn doing their business which was just left there. It surprised me with them as they were lovely. I never ended up saying anything (I'm a wuss) direct apart from mentioning my annoyance about stray dogs doing their business on my lawn, hoping they'd get the hint. They've moved now.

The stray ones thing is annoying though, often the same dogs which I assume either escape or are let out to wander, usually too aggressive to be approached and one is a large dog I wouldn't go near anyway. The local dog wardens are pretty useless about them though. I report them as missing dogs but they won't come out after around 5pm unless the dog is contained!

boxy lol re the hedgeshite - can visually picture it.

I too pick up my dog's mess but it riles me when I have to pick it up next to the previous sh tter. Then with the lack of bins have to walk quite a bit with it in my hand until I get to a bloody bin. Then you come across two bins within 100 steps. Urggh!!

PS Now I know what was in those plastic bags swinging forever on the hedges. No so many now here in NI with the 5p levy. They're (people) coming out of supermarkets carrying their groceries like a balancing act before they pay a lousy 5p for a bag.

those doggie bags are far too thin so I get one and stuff it with another 10 - then I don't feel the squidgies.

It's a £1000 fine round where I live and there are signs up telling people to "grass" on persistent foulers.
