Doggy Breath!
9 Answers
My elderly labrador has smelly breath, mainly the result of bad teeth through old age - can anyone recommend an over-the-counter remedy please? I know chews etc. can help, but she has trouble chewing now, she is 14 I might add, and otherwise fit and healthy. thanks for any ideas.

what does the vet say? bad teeth can be dangerous to the dog so it might be worth talking to the vet about some dentistry.

I use PlaqueOff for my old Border Collie. He cant have anything rawhide to chew on or Dentastix etc because of a sensitive digestive system and the vet suggested this. Its a powder made from seaweed for bad breath, tartar and plaque and I find it works very well. I sprinkle two tiny scoops on his food daily. It comes in a little tub and is easily available. I buy mine from my local RSPCA animal home shop but large pet shops sell it.
Try Petzlife gel or spray
