Is a bay the same as a cove - or vice versa - or are they totally different geographical entities? Ta Muchly.

(e.g. the Great Australian Bight). Answer: A bight is a broad, large indentation in a coastline, (same as a bay, so far), but... one that a sailing vessel may leave, no matter what the direction of the wind.
