Pet Friendly Cleaning Materials
4 Answers
I'm clearing out and cleaning my mother's kitchen (which hasn't been done properly since my father died five years ago). She's never been houseproud, and one of the excuses she comes up with is that the cleaning materials will make her cat sick.
Not having had any pets myself for years, I wondered if anyone has any thoughts on this? Many years ago, someone told her that Dettol was poisonous to cats, but I presume that today's products are safer.

Thanks all. She has a cupboard full of cleaning stuff, all unused; excuses are her speciality! I hadn't thought of Ecover, I use their products all the time at home. She had one old pair old rubber gloves and when I asked her if she had any more she replied that they were for 'skivvies'! I'll get the litterbox spray for her, then she can use that if she ever gets round to doing it for herself.
