And maybe the beginning of Autumn - which is my favourite season.
The stews can go back on, and you can wear a light jacket without either being wrapped up or too hot and other people stop being quite so stupid (as happens in the summer heat).
i really like it when after a hot summer, there is a slight nip in the air, and you can snuggle under the duvet. I very much dislike rain rain rain though
Autumn is my favourite season too. I especially like that crispness in the air, even on sunny days and the sharpness of the shadows.
and......................it's crumpets time.
Berries everywhere, mist over the fields, and burgundy and purple back in the wardrobe...and fleecy PJs and a night in with a film... Stew and dumplings... dark early snuggles with OH and thick swaeters don't need ironing...
not mine i am afraid, too cool, and often it's grey which has me off and wishing for some sunshine. You can't wear light gear, so out come the sweaters and jackets, before long it's winter, long drawn out, and quite often wet.
I love the autumn, my favourite season, leaves turning brown, all those lovely russet browns and gold colours. Can't stand too much heat, so yes, it's autumn for me.
I was just thinking it was my favourite - then I thought about Winter and Christmas - and then Spring and the lighter nights - I guess I like them all
Except maybe that bit after Christmas when there is nothing to look forward to and its all grey but my trick is I just pretend its November and Christmas is still to come
Yes, I wondered if that's why we hadn't seen you on and about. These things give you a sharp change of perspective sometimes. My best wishes to you both.
