FA accused over all-white commission......
By its only female, mixed race member of the panel:
http:// m.bbc.c o.uk/sp ort/foo tball/2 4592596
From the link:
It is understood the FA has spoken to members of black and minority ethnic communities about joining the commission, but many of those approached have not been able to commit the required time.
So what else are the FA supposed to do? Appoint a person of colour who is even less apathetic and committed than those already approached?
This storm in a teacup is doubtless brought about by the same idiots who made a 'story' out of Hodgson's half time joke.
Pathetic.

But if the FA approached others and tried to get a diverse-looking panel then it's not clear what the problem is. My own view is that equality means equality of opportunity, so your race, age, gender, creed, sexuality, etc., don't act as barriers to your career opportunities. But equally the employers should select the best people for the job -- and if that leads to an all-White panel, or an all-male one, or even an all-female panel, would in an ideal world be thought nothing of: "those were just the best people for the job at the time".
The commission are:
Greg Dyke
Roger Burden
Glenn Hoddle
Danny Mills
Howard Wilkinson
Ritchie Humphreys
Greg Clarke
Dario Gradi.
Apart from Dario Gradi the whole commission is staked with hopeless mediore money grabbing journey men of dubious or no talent. We won't bring on young players with that lacklustre bunch of failures.
But I do not believe in co-opting a female onto the commission just to tick some equality box. The best people are needed and while we don't appear to have that at present, I am sure they were not selected for their skin colour.

I may be wrong but I'm led to believe that the panel is made up of volunteers who will not be paid for their time.
Is this the actual sticking point I wonder? Sol Campbell has been loud in his condemnation of the panel.
Would he care to address the 'problem' by giving his services for free?
I won't hold my breath.......

Danny Mills puts his/the panels case rather well here I thought: (halfway down the page)
