Just remember to keep your baby warm with blankets and a snuggly place to lay/sleep and be sure she/he is eating a bit and drinking plenty of water...if they're doing that, they should be just fine.
Also, keep in mind (as you probably already know) that animals like dogs and cats need to have a wet, sometimes runny, nose! This is a sign of health- not a sign of sickness...good luck!
Hi magentared, please take him to the vet as soon as possible, it sounds like cat flu to me, which can kill them. Are his eyes OK or are they runny too?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that it's not cat flu because it really is horrible, they are poorly for some time even when they're strong cats. Please let us know what the vet says.
Hi magentared, I got my Merlin at 8 weeks, at 10 weeks he had his first lot of injections, before his final injections he started to sneeze quite alot and his eyes were very runny to the stage where I had to bathe them because they were closed up, I took him to the vets and they told me he had respiratory tract infection and was given antibiotic and special eye cream, he was better within a week. If I were you I would have your kitten checked out by your vet, kittens are so vulnerable to infections and diseases and anything out of the ordinary shouldn't be ignored.
Let us know how you get on, and I hope your little one will be soon on the mend. Good luck. :-)
Considering this, do you think I should still take him to the vets? Could it be an allergic reation to something? Sorry that this question has turned into another one. Thank you again for the advice you have all given and any you may give to help me further.
