What about Nyala?
Question Author
From bantu not zulu - thanks anyway.

The Nyala has spiral horns, white stripes on a greyish coat. The name comes from the Zulu Inxala.

Some sites do have the derivation from the Bantu language but most say Zulu and the description fits.
