my schnauzer bitch has developed warts on her back. They do not bother her but are unsightly. I am not keen to have excised as she is 10 years old...
any tips gratefully received.

What does your vet say? "Warts" may mean benign growths or it may mean definitely unbenign growths. The dog is ten, just the age when tumours of both kinds appear.
Our dog had a wart on the top of his head. We didn't have it removed as he was getting older, but the wart just became bigger and he kept rubbing it until it bled. Wish we'd had it done when we first noticed it.
what Fred says, get vet advice....also 10 years is no age at all!
Take your vets advice, but don't be worried about an op as they use very safe anaesthetics that are quick reversing these days.
