Thought I would just share...

First ewe lambed this morning and had 5! Two of them were sadly born dead, but still an impressive haul.

Mother and remaining three lambs doing fine. Even if she only has one working teat...

5!! that is impressive, 3 is impressive actually, not uncommon though. 3 lambs and one working tit could be a problem.

She had triplets last year, kept all 3 although I did bottle feed one of them. She is a very good mother, even if she can't produce enough milk.

That's unusual though, 2sp, what breed of sheep ?

The ewe is a Suffolk cross, the tup is a Heinz 57. All three lambs are going stong, just giving them a wee top up of milk a few times a day but she really is a good mother.

Good to hear its all going well, I'm guessing it won't be the only lamb you'll have this year, keep us posted
