I don`t know anything about life expectancy but has he had a blood test for his calcium levels? High calcium in the blood can be a symptom of cancer in the bones and can cause mild confusion (among other things)
Life expectance impossible to estimate without being his doctor, knowing all the facts and personally assesing him. A few weeks to a year or so would be my guess.
Is this a project question, ILMB? (I do hope so)
impossible to guestimate . I hope he is pain free,
When my dad was diagnosed with liver cancer he was told 6 months.

We were also told that liver cancer was one of the least painful. I found that hard to believe...
Matter of weeks....from what you say.
