Suz Are you asking just because you are intrested? If you are asking because you want to put your mare into foal then stop. You need to research carefully before you make such a comitment. It is an expensive, time consuming, worrying thing to do. Wonderful if it all goes well. You must consult your vet to see if your mare is healthy as having her first foal later in life could be a real strain on her. Also are you considering taking her to a stud? They would give you good advice but if your mare is over 12 I would go by what your vet says.
