Hawker Dragonfly Nymph....but Which One?

I saw this at the early part of last month but haven't been able to positively identify it. I think it's a brown hawker but I'm not convinced.
I didn't notice until I got home and checked the picture that it seems the dragonfly is actually starting to emerge, it looks like the middle of the back has started to split

I can't tell if it's a brown hawker or a southern hawker from photo, but it's definitely one or the other. I lean slightly towards a brown hawker. See both types round here as I live right near a river.
