A relative of mine is in the Isle of Man. She has just texted me to tell me she has posted some Manx kippers to me and I will get them on Tuesday. I texted back and said, they'll have gone 'off' by Tuesday. What do you think?
I think if they're wrapped and smoked Tilly, you won't have to do much more than eat them and as askyourgran has said they've been treated so keep longer, my sister lives in a very rural district, she married an Italian, his Mum sent over parmesan cheese, the mailman couldn't find her address and for weeks was going around with a stinky van.. the cheese was in good condition and edible when finally delivered and her postman was ever so relieved to have finally found they're cottage
I don't like them with faces either. My friends at Whitby once caught me some fresh crabs to take home, put me off when my friend told me all their names. 'This is Colin, this is Brian....etc....
