Hi. Can anyone remember the name of the huge fat cat which used to live on platform 11 on King's Cross station in the late 70s-early 80s? It had a kennel-type home right on the platform.

Wrong station, I don't know London - are they close? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiddles http://www.purr-n-fur.org.uk/featuring/wk-rail02.html

An earlier one than that. Bigger too! It was a tabby as far as I can remember.
Haven't found it - but there are cats everywhere http://www.purr-n-fur.org.uk/featuring/wk-rail04a.html

Hopefully somebody who actually knows the answer will be along later. I will keep trying.

Thanks for trying Wolf. He seems to be the forgotten station cat.
What time period do you remember him from?
Question Author
Around 1979-80.

Oh wow. That's the one! My memory must be playing tricks. I have confused the 2 stations. I used to use them both quite a lot.
Thanks for your help. I would never have found it looking in the wrong place.
Crazy Cat Lady to the rescue?

That was one cuddly looking cat. Makes my two look slim(ish)

:-)
I went to see him - he was ginormous!
I just Wiki'd him Sherr, apparently there were attempts to cut his weight, but he got fed that much tidbits from passengers he didn't stand a chance, lol.
