I made tray bakes for small cut out cakes and I have lots of sponge left over. Maybe this is a 'Northern' thing, but as a child I remember having Russian slices, made up of various pieces of sponge 'stuck' together into a loaf shape and sliced. Can anyone help me please, I don't like wasting all this sponge. I could always put it in a trifle, as a last resort. Many thanks.o
