Just seen a little dog who could steal my heart but am trying to give myself time to grieve for Mr Harv until after Xmas.

Anyway doggie is about 18 months old - what maximum age is a puppy.

Oh would love this wee doggy.

jj, you want this little dog, go get him before someone else does.
18 months old is definitely a 'young dog', rather than a 'puppy' but it's an ideal age to take a dog on. (None of the 'puppy' problems but still full of life).

Don't wait, JJ. If you've got the chance to give the dog a home, go for it now. You'll only regret it later if you don't!

here she is - am worried a little as I did re Harv that I need to leave her for some hours. I was stuck to Harv like glue.

Anyway here she is

Get a Schnauzer just like me, I am adorable and very protective, Conne
Shes a little beauty,jj. Go get her.
She's sweet.

Go for it!
You must jump, jennyjoan, if you think she is right! Your other e-mail suggested (underneath the surface) that it would be the right time.....

well I may make enquiries or if I can - get a race down to see her.
She is lovely Conne, give her a great Christmas xx

psybbs - your wee dog is beautiful.
Go for it, from your previous thread whenever you feel ready, even if it's straightaway, is right for you. She looks adorable and deserves a new loving home.
You would be giving a loving home to a young dog who desperately needs one.
You've obviously fallen for this little treasure - give yourself a Christmas present, and her!

Am I too old (and on my own) to give 100% commitment. This is what I am nervous of as I am 10 years older than when I got Mr Harv.
How old are you conne? I find age is all in the mind, If you think old then you'll be old.
Oh goodness...she is gorgeous! Make yourself and her happy...get her.
Her name is perfect,BTW.
I'd have thought that being on your own would be an advantage, as you'll be able to give more time (and more love) to your new canine friend.

Unless you're actually expecting to drop dead in the near future, you're not too old.
Question Author
I would have liked to have got down tomorrow but new window is arriving but I will ring and see what they say - maybe put a reserve on her until I get to see her hopefully on the Friday. God I am nervous.
Question Author
Don't think I am making excuses.

Buenchio I absolutely hated leaving my dog if I have to go out - that is why Mr Harv was everywhere with me except when I had to go out socially.

As long as you can take her for walks you'll be fine. have to say that what I've known about rehoming centres - they will really test you to the nth degree to ensure you're suitable. Just be prepared for that.
