One of my hens seems to yawn a lot. I've read that this can be due to them shifting food in their crop after a greedy feeding session but it isn't always the case with this girl.

Any thoughts?

Your Vet can take a throat culture to get it tested but you're looking at big money.

Birds are notoriously difficult to diagnose as they are champions at hiding their discomfort for self preservational reasons.

It could very well be a nervous reaction to being at the bottom of the pecking order.
or she could just be bored
