Why dont you try him on tins or give him some fresh meat? Dry sounds very boring all the time !
Hi, firstly I'd like to say thank you for the letter.

Over feeding can be a lot of things but give the fact I know what type of owner you are and the breed of dog this is my theory...

He could be eating because he enjoys the food or it could be because he's getting older. I've noticed that our old residents seem to always been grazing.

If it's there, most dogs will eat it, no worries about dieting for them.
We feed our two twice a day, 0700 & 1900, they get a set amount each, big guy gets a bit more than the *** 'cus he's bigger anyway, and that's it.
The littler one would eat all day if we let her.

The *** was female dog , FGS!!!!!

it was the vet recommended it.he does have tins now and then, also he gets our leftovers ,he is very greedy.but nrrd to watch his weight as he only has 3 legs.i was worried in case there was something wrong with him.
Ignore all the spelling mistakes.

Just don't fill his bowl so often, he isn't underweight so you're safe enough to do that.

his? I mean 'him'.
Question Author
he is lovely dizmo,we took him up to pets are us and they just spoil him, while I was there they had a teddy bear in the sale, cody grabbed it and he takes it everywhere with him,he wont be parted from it,it's bigger then him as well.he is so funny with it I cant help laughing at him.
Slinky.Kate: You have my contact number, if ever you want to talk about anything that is worrying you about Cody then please don't hesitate to call. If I'm unable to help I will be more than happy to speak to our vet as they will be more than happy to try and help over the phone.

I smiled at your letter because I was listening to Runrig as I opened it.

thanks dizmo,much appreciated.
Bakers is one of the worst foods you can give any dog. He is no doubt eating more because he is not getting enough goodness from it. Try a better quality extruded (pellet) type food if you are feeding dry. Bakers is also full of E numbers and is the equivalent of giving kids orange juice. Give him a set amount each day and only increase it if he is losing weight.
Have to agree with Lankeela re the Bakers. Please change it, it's full of rubbish. No wonder the poor dog is hungry all the time. I bet a lot comes out the other end as well.
Just google Bakers dog food to see why!

Why you SHOULD NOT FEED YOUR DOG BAKERS -
E320 - has been found to be tumour-producing when fed to rats. In human studies it has been linked with urticaria, angioedema and asthma.
E321 - BANNED for use in food in Japan, Romania, Sweden, and Australia. The US has BANNED it from being used in infant foods. So bad McNasty's have voluntarily eliminated it from their products.

E310 - BANNED from children's foods in the US because it is thought to cause the blood disorder methemoglobinemia
E172 - BANNED in Germany
...
E132 - Can cause skin sensitivity, a rash similar to nettle rash, itching, nausea, high blood pressure and breathing problems. One of the colours that the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommends be eliminated from the diet of children. PROHIBITED in Norway.
E102 - TARTRAZINE -A trial on 76 children diagnosed as hyperactive, showed that tartrazine provoked abnormal behaviour patterns in 79% of them E110 - Sunset Yellow (E110) has been found to damage kidneys and adrenals when fed to laboratory rats. It has also been found to be carcinogenic when fed to animals
E104 - One of the colours that the Hyperactive Children's Support Group recommends be eliminated from the diet of children.BANNED in Australia, Japan, Norway and the United States.
E171 - BANNED in Germany
E153 -BANNED as a food additive in the United States of America. Suspected as a carcinogenic agent.

And which food contains all these? Bakers Complete
Just hoping Kate sees Lankeela's last post.
Was just about to say what Lankeela said....
