Now, given that different streams will pose different enviro issues, who else lets their poor parched pooch sup the suspect slosh of a steady summers' stream?

Me !!!. I have no problems with my springer both swimming and drinking from streams....especially ones where there's an abundance of aquatic life.

yeah, I let my dog drink the water too, but only if it looks ok, y'know, no green algae or obvious horrid stuff floating in it.

Our dog believe it or not loves to drink canal water.weve got a boat and go to it most weekends.all the other dogs {whilst with  their owners} drink it to.

Our streams come from underground springs and my dog prefers fresh water to tap water any day.  As he's rather large he very much decides what he's going to do and I follow.
