I have two cats and two bowls.
A stainless steel one for big boy Caspar...he's had it ages.
And,an earthenware bowl that came with little Amber( also known as Pudding and Dumpling) that came with her when I adopted her a year ago.
I put equal amounts in each of them...They both tuck into their individual portions....or Amber has a bit, and walks off. Or has a bit and bully Caspar elbows in. Or Caspar just pushes her aside from the start. Whatever...the earthenware dish will be empty and the stainless steel one will have food in it all day...the same food.
Now...is one type of dish more appealing to cats...or is Caspar just asserting his position as topcat?

I have visions of poor sox stuck to her bowl. ;-)
Caspar is a greedy pig.

Frankie eats food from whichever bowl is put down first, sometimes he puts a foot in Merlin's bowl so that he can eat her food too, sometimes he eats from both bowls at once. I leave them to it - she can look after herself.

I have to admit to being lazy and using disposable plates to feed them. They have normal bowls for stuff like tinned tuna.
