Bird Bath

I have a stone ? concrete bird bath that leaks. I put a large plant pot drip tray in it but it looks unsightly and blows off unless I put a stone in it. Is there anything I can repair the bath with ? paint on or line it with please?

I have tried many times to to repair a cracked bird bath and its never worked for long.
I have got two suggestions. use something like this which is glass

or
Weigh the plastic one down with a heavy garden ornament.
or weigh the tray down with a piece of rock that grows moss. I have got a rather good piece of waterworn sandstone covered in moss on mine. the bird perch on it and it absorbs water from the birdbath which keeps the moss green.

I agree with Woofters about trying to repair a cracked bath, Janet. Any solid repair is likely to crack again. A flexible repair would be necessary. Perhaps an offcut of Butyl pond liner glued in place.

Lining it with glassfibre would do it, but it involves resin/hardener/glass mat etc, and it's too messy if you're not skilled with it.

Sorry I can't be of any help. I like the idea of a drip tray weighted down with a mossy rock.......... or maybe a selection of coloured beach pebbles.

The top of ours just crumbled away, we ended up buying a new one.
