Pruning A Swiss Cheese Plant

Can I prune back a Swiss Cheese plant which is reaching monster proportions out on my patio (in Wales not the Med)? It started life as a small house plant but seems to love the outdoors life. I don't want to kill it just tame it a little. Thanks.
