is my dog pregnant, please help??

ive just recently got a dog from a lady who sells abandoned dogs.

well she told me that bonnie (my dog) had got out a week before she came to me. well ive had her for about 3 weeks now, and her teats have become swollen at the back her belly is beggining to get big but is quite firm. she is a whippet and likes to walk, but now she has put weight on, she get puffed out very quickly. she seems to be getting very greedy with her food and water, and wee's alot. for the last couple of days she has been licking her back teats alot. bonnie also seems to be very much attached to me, she doesnt hardly leave my side.so can anyone pin point that it is pregnancy?

You need to do two things - firstly, get your girl in to the vet as soon as possible for a check up, because nobody can answer this question for you without actually examining the dog.  Then when you know what's happening you can take the next steps.  Also, get in touch with this rescue (I'm not sure if somone who 'sells abandoned dogs' qualifies as such, but call her anyway!  She should (if she's a part of a reputable rehoming organisation) be willing to help with costs, care and homing the pups, or offer to take the bitch back.
