Swopping My Dog
21 Answers
Here's the deal - who would like an extremely handsome, large, very long coated black and white male border collie (lots and lots of white) he is an excellent house dog, very obedient and loving. Am looking for small, very, very short coated (prefereably bald) dog in return. This swop dog must not, however, take delight in rolling in newly pig manured fields especially after several days of heavy rain. This swop dog must also refrain from returning immediately to me when recalled (although this is a good thing), with a stupid grin on it's face suggesting' That was great....look I'll do it again for you' then immediately repeat the exercise (not a good thing).
Yet I love him dearly.

paddy would you not consider an old dog that would dearly love for its last few months/year/s to be in a loving home rather than in a rescue centre, especially in the winter? One that can't manage much exercise any more and would be happy with am amble around the garden? Or you could try fostering if you don't want to commit, perhaps an Oldie for a few weeks and see how you go? That would be so lovely for you and the dog.
