This was around 30 years ago and coats for dogs, except for greys and toy dogs, were unheard of so I got the biggest greyhound coat I could find and altered it to fit him. people did laugh but it was better than seeing him shiver. Its one of the reasons that Wei's aren't much used by the police. They are more than capable of the work but are single coated dogs and feel the cold and wet if they have to stand around. Fine coated dogs who do agility have fleece sweaters that they wear while waiting to run and also afterwards to keep their muscles warm.
