I assume the cat is being treated otherwise you will have a continual source of reinfection for you.  You need to see GP and get an effective cream; you can get creams direct from chemist but we found they didn't work.
Go to your GP asap.. Ringworm is contagious and will spread around your body. I am speaking from experience !
You've not said where the spots are. If they're on your scalp or on your feet (or possibly betwwen your fingers), then they might be cause by the ringworm fungus - anywhere else and they're probably not. (The symptoms vary from one part of the body to another).

If it is ringworm, don't panic - you've probably had it several times already! If you've had athlete's foot, you've had ring worm (it just has a different name when it attacks your feet). If you're male and had 'jock itch', you've probably had ring worm. If you've ever had patches of dry, scaly skin then, quite likely it was ringworm.

Ringworm is harder to treat with cats than with people simply because all that fur makes it harder to apply creams to the skin.

Go to your doctor by all means but if it is ringworm (and it's not on your scalp) all he'll probably do is to prescribe 1% Clotrimazole cream which you can buy from your local pharmacy anyway. (It's usually sold under the brand name 'Canesten').

Information about ringworm in pets (and the possibility of owners catching it) is here:

Hoping this helps,

Chris

I had ringworm, it's not bad at all with those funy circular marks, it is just a fungal infection and not an actual worm.  I think it was treated with the same cream as they treat thrush.  my pharmacist said it was harmless at the time

I have tried the creams.I don't have it on my scalp.I do have it on my elbow on one side,my hips,on top of one foot, under one armpit and on my knee. Why is it so weirdly spotted?
Are you sure thats what you have. go to the doctor and make sure.

I have tried the creams I can't really tell if it's helping.I am so tired of trying to hide my elbows.Does anyone know of something that might work quickly?Maybe a good cover up?
