My dog which is a Weimeraner *** 3 years old. She has what looks very much like vitiligo on her stomach. Is this possible or is it some other skin problem?

Is it new or has she always had it? Some weis do show mottling of skintone, often in the mouth.

I've noticed it more this year than previously and it's on her stomach not around her nose and mouth
My staffie has a very patchy stomach. It developed as she got older. It causes no problems, as it's just skin pigmentation.
what does the vet say?
Ditto.
Question Author
The vet advised sun cream
Won't she just lick it off? How does the sun get to her stomach?
the usual places dogs need suncream is on ears and noses....I’d be getting a second opinion.....
Question Author
I don't think I need a second opinion, dogs lie in the sun consequently her stomach is sometimes exposed. However she would undoubtedly lick the cream off so don't intend to apply sun cream, more just keep a close eye on her outside. My main reason for posting was to ascertain if dogs do get this problem which I thought just affected humans.
yes dogs get vitiligo apparently
