Very carefully !!!
He could have timed his toilet requirements a little better.
Brilliant, looking forward to the new series too.
They are lovely creatures, not sure I fancy one taking a dump in my bedroom though!
how did he get in in the first place? Reception must be very cavalier about who they give keys to.

One of my TV heros, Steve Backshal, in his last series, was faffing about on the beach, dragging a dead goat around on a bit of string, trying to entice a dragon into the sea....my flesh creeped then as well !
Have you actually encountered one Mikey?
just as an aside, you know how old mapmakers are said to have written "here be dragons" over unknown territory? I did read once (don't know if it's true) that this was in fact only ever done on one old map, and it was next to Komodo.
not sure where your question would come on my 'need to know' list mikey

Just a magnificent creature trying to live its life.

Eccles.., only in a Zoo and that was enough for me. I don't like alligators or crocodiles either.

Good point JNO, but probably a prank by the TV crew !!!
What an interesting...and primitive...looking creature.
At least it didn't poop on carpet...;-)
They don't seem to have any redeeming features. They are big, ugly, fast, carnivores with a venomous bite.

Like the Crocodiles and Alligators they are still prehistoric in appearance and nature and will probably out-live us humans.

I don't think that they would enjoy the weather up her in Scotland. Even my resident Tigers are clutching the radiators.

I think they are a fascinating creature which is so happily adapted to its environment that it hasn't needed to change for millions of years.

They don't have a venomous bite, but the bacteria in their mouth is transferred with a bite to the leg of a large animal which it can't overpower with force, thus waiting patiently for the bacteria to do their worst and make the prey sick, so it can be eaten by the whole dragon family - often while it is still alive.

This may seem cruel to us humans, but it is the only way they can prey on wild cattle and deer. With no other large carnivore around, if the herbivores are not preyed upon they will eat themselves out of existence.

I know they are not the cuddly type of animal, but they certainly fulfil their role in the wildlife balance of the Indonesian islands.
EEK..and I moan about a spider !!
I'm glad it got away ok.
I totally agree with wildwood. The Yellow Stone national park fauna and flora diversified greatly when wolves were reintroduced. There was an excellent programme on this subject.
BTW, Mikey...man-up:-)
