Animal Farting

Whilst lying in bed contemplating the world this morning our cat delivered on an it was quite terrible but it inspired us into thinking how far down the line does farting go ? I have one of these type of thoughts daily but spare you all from most ! Anyway do birds? I know that their poops contain no.1and no.2 wastes .Do fish ? Do reptiles?

I would have assumed that all living organisms that eat, digest and excrete/urinate in pretty much the same way as us, will certainly pass wind.

Back in the 60's, we had a wonderful Boxer dog. She was really one of the family ! But she had a terrible flatulence problem, which was almost certainly caused by all the liver and sprouts that she fed, surreptitiously under the table, by us kids !

Reminds me of a joke I heard many years ago:

Yeast might be said to fart.Well, when it is digesting the sugar it produces Carbon Dioxide,which helps bread,pizza dough etc to rise.Poor old Yeast it helps us to produce light bread and then we go and kill it in a hot oven.I am thinking of starting a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Yeast!
