Grasshopper Warbler
2 Answers
I'm sure there's one in the field over the back of our garden. I've not heard one before so it caught my attention. I've just been listening to birdsong clips to try and identify it and it does sound like a grasshopper warbler. I joked to OH come and listen to this; I think we've got a rattlesnake in the field!

I'd not heard one before Chris. I listen to the birdies every day; they start singing JUST before it's light and then they sing all day. I love it; especially the blackbirds. There are several nesting in the gorse across our lane this year. But this new sound was a bit of a mystery. I'm thrilled to hear something new. It's in a fields hitch backs onto our garden. Very scrubby, lts of brambles, bit of a "pond" there too, so he'll be undisturbed by any humans whatsoever.
