I'll just find out hang on

yes they can

Fainting/Dizziness (Syncope)
Fainting is the sudden loss of consciousness or a sudden and marked weakness. It may be associated with anything from low blood sugar to severe heart disease. Bee stings are frequently a cause of syncope.

If they can do this then it would reason that they have a brain in a skull so they can, I would reason. It may have to be a pretty hard knock on the noggin. Anyone else have experience with this? I am gonna check with the vet, ask the expert......

My dog knocked himself out once by jumping up suddenly and banging his head on the table, under which he is very fond of laying. He was only out for a minute or so but lost control of his bowels.Very frightening.Dogs do have very thin skulls.A trip to the vet and a check up reassured us there was nothing else wrong with him.
I once accidentally booted a football at a dogs face when playing football and it was out cold for a few minutes!!
