Amber has gone to sleep...relieved of any suffering. And I do believe she was suffering and ready to go.

Even though there is still a rather large dog, and another cat here, there is an emptiness...a void. I'm waiting for her to ask for food, to rub against my ankles...to do that trick of hers of throwing herself in my path as I walk down a dark hall .
My other, big bully of a cat, knows. He's head butting me like crazy, sleeping with his head on my foot. The dog is a bit scared...she doesn't like it when I cry...
