To save this sausage dog?

I hope so, as we have a lot of hearts breaking at home.

Mmaybe I sound harsh but 12k for treatment for a paralysed dog is ridiculous.
I actually think it would be kinder to put it out of its misery.
Sorry to hijack the thread temporarily LittleSquidge...
bednobs- I've noticedy your avatar isn't appearing with your posts tonight even though it is still there on your profile
I totally agree with Tilly. He does not have ‘quality of life’
I'd love to save any animal I possibly could, though finances won't allow.

I too feel Bertie should be allowed peace and freedom from pain.

Sorry.
Poor little boy, but sadly I have to agree with the others here. An awful decision for his owners to make, but far kinder I think.
Sorry too ls I have deactivated it ff as is out of date bya long way and i cannot be arsed to change it

As a long-term Dog Owner I would go to great lengths to protect my Dogs, but I genuinely believe in this case there is no chance of the Animal recovering an acceptable 'Quality of Life' so no I will not, sorry I know that's not what you want to hear, but it's how I feel.
Having read the story, I have to agree it would be kinder to put him to sleep. His quality of life will never be very good, sorry.
I'm with the others on this who say "no". Baldric says what I would have said but insert "cat" for "dog".
If I thought that some of my money would do him any good, I would gladly donate.
My friend's dog had the same problem and ended up at the same rehabilitation centre. Luckily, her paralysis was spotted immediately and she was operated on in time to save her spinal cord. The whole thing cost nearly four grand and the dog now has full mobility. She would have been put down if that wasn't the case. Very sad for the dog in this case but he is never going to recover so there is no point in throwing a load of money away.
