can court convict me on my statement as in police interview i told police i hold guy by arms so that he cannot get harm himself and me and police charge me for common assault. But my lawyer check that the prosecutor don't have any other proof against me just my statement. So can court convict me on that ? Any advice will be appreciated.

No you cannot be convicted because if the confession is made before police it is inadmissible.
