earth's circumfrence the same as radius minus 50? (7)
the answer is obviously equator being the earths circumfrence but i just cannot parse this. what on earth (pardon the pun) has "same as radius and minus 50" got to do with it. 50 is more often than not L in crosswords. i have thought about radius as a bone and sometimes in crosswordese 50 can be "SO" but i am stumped. can some kind soul parse this for me please?
