Just To Let You Know The Latest About Redman

He is still in hospital and has been deteriorating over the last few days, the surgeons do not feel he would survive surgery and he has a very severe infection due to a perforated bowel. They are still giving antibiotics and fluids but no heroics. Dave woke briefly and wished me a happy birthday for tomorrow, he has been sleeping ever since. I haven't closed the door on hope entirely although mostly now I hope he can just drift away as he doesn't have the strength to fight. One of the last lucid things he said to me was have you been on AB today, coming back the last few weeks cheered him up a lot .
While I was tapping this in he woke up. Asked if t h e surgeon had been, and when he heard what the plan was he said " I am fooked then. " Me being me said probably, it's up to you. Guess it's wait and see now. . If he gets through this it still unlikely he will have much more time. Will let you know if things change either way.

Sqad, undiagnosed diverticulitis, add severe constipation from codeine, high doses of,dexamethasone, minimal oral intake for over a week. Bomb that was waiting to go off, add to that 40% lung capacity due to copd,and the vats procedure and the brAin Mets,
The surgeons won't go in, he has told me many times no more surgery, he told his own team if he arrests let him go, if nothing else I am a realist.

But thanks everyone, your thoughts are appreciated. Let's hope in the great AB tradition I am being a drama queen and will soon have to slink off in embarrassment when he is back posting
