The Hog Feeding Station Worked!

I have photographs of hedgie popping in and out of the improvised feeding station....bliss!

There was nothing left for the birds in the morning but I'm amazed at how full my garden is of cats during the night.......frustrated cats who can't get at the food.....

Mmmm.....when I work out how to get the pictures from the camera I'll give it a go...
The daytime photographs are really good.....the quality of the night time ones not quite so good but maybe I need to play with the settings to improve them. This is the first time I've used it for this purpose....but I'll try.... :-)

Lovely, I had to fish one out of a pond a few years ago, there was an escape slope but he was caught in the weed. Big lad, hung around for ages

They do carry a lot of fleas. Fascinating and beguiling creatures, though.

They do, NoM but I'm sure only hedgehog fleas......ones that don't like other animals or people.....x

Many years ago my nan's dog caught them after growling at a hedgehog. We were looking after him while they were in Spain so we had to get it treated before they got back.

I saw un herisson en France whose head was completely covered in a coruscation of ticks to such an extent that no fur was visible.

How did you make your feeding station, gness?

I'd love to see hedgies in the garden again. I just hope the horrible badger doesn't get them if they do come in.

Jo....I've just made a very rough temporary one until I buy/make a proper one in a safe place.
Just wanted to make sure the hedgehog kept visiting before I do.
