Saturday. Officially the first day of autumn. Doesn't time fly!
My apologies for disappearing without notice yesterday. Gremlins.
I'm off to the canal for the day, in the Visitor Centre, having picked up my mate in Thornbury first of course. His lovely wife is not coming with us today, she is going to be cooking, i'm under orders to be hungry. She is a very good cook. For some reason that, at the moment, mystifies me, I have to call in at the marina to collect some paperwork for the centre from the hospice. No doubt I'll find out why. So I shall have to be off a bit early this morning.
Morning CG. xxx I doubt that. :o} I can only think that whomever it was left it there because the centre was closed and it's too big to go in the letter box. I shall see.
How are you and the wee man this morning? Not forgetting himself of course!
The wee man is still comatose and probably won't appreciate being woken up so early this morning. However he needs feeding and enough time to do a stinky nappy. I don't want him doing a dirty nappy until we're in the car as we won't stop 'til we're at the Tamar Bridge and that's nearly 3 hours.
Morning Birdies. Posting from a dark and still St Ives. 7 hour trip yesterday but arrived safely and settled in nicely. Was abed by 9pm after a "few" pints of Sharp's Own and a fish n chips supper. Noticeably warmer down here so the shorts have been deployed. Nip and get a paper as soon as they open then get out and about. Got a booking at The Alba for an early dinner, so no pasties or ice cream today, perhaps a walk up and over the "Island".
We love it too Boaty, that is why we make the long trip from our home near the seaside. I have been coming down here now for 53 years, which I find a bit scary, and can remember the place as shown in the old b&w pictures hanging up in the pubs and cafes. Haha.
