....and I keep thinking Whitby (silent H and setting for Dracula) but I have no idea how it relates to some battle. There wasn't a "Battle of Whitby" was there?

The answer is PSYCHO - the clue is in the question. Anagram of 'some battle' provides the setting i.e. Bates Motel, leading to Psycho.
