Sickening. South Herefordshire Hunt pair found guilty and the most they can be given is 6 months in prison.

'and the real reason why they hunt foxes is because they enjoy doing it'

and that, I vehemently agree with :D
Only a couple of years ago that Theresa May was seeking to repeal the ban on fox hunting.
However losing the Conservatives majority in the 2017 General election stopped that - thankfully.
alba - // Andy, I vehemently disagree with your comment that it assists in explaining it.
The farmers I know would never feed anything living to another animal. //

Then maybe the farmers you know are not hunters - one does not have to be either to be either.
They certainly do enjoy doing it ..
Andy-hughes "My argument against hunt supporters has always been their rank hypocrisy.

They claim that hunting is to keep fox numbers manageable, but the reality is that hunting is probably the least efficient way of managing numbers, and the real reason why they hunt foxes is because they enjoy doing it. The kill is incidental - it has to be, given the ratio of hunts to kills - if it was to actually kill, it would have been abandoned years ago as a waste of time and effort."

Yup. I have got a friend who lives in a sheep farming area in Scotland. The sheep aren't generally brought in to lamb and they control the fox numbers by going out and shooting them. Marksmen do it as a paid job, so much per dead fox, picking the foxes off as they come in to take the lambs. Foxes which don't try to take lambs don't get shot.
I can assure you that plenty of the 'country set' are absolutely appalled by these monsters. I live in the depths of the country when in the UK and although I'm not at all adverse to popping off a fox with a gun, or killing something to eat it, in line with most of my kith and kin and most people around here, I'm deadly against chucking a live baby fox to hounds, again like the vast majority of other country dwellers nationwide I would imagine. These people are a fraction of 1% of country folk and they do just love the cruelty and that's why no-one but their own kind likes them or will have anything to do with them. x

Well they've got a suspended sentence would you believe AND allowed to keep working with animals. AND the cubs weren't bred by them they were taken from their mothers in the wild.
Best I leave it.
Theres something a bit psychopathic about people who enjoy killing for the sake of it.
"a bit"? I'd use harsher words, nailit (and I'm not normally that interested in animal welfare, but this is just vicious)
Trying not to get on the wrong side of the mods jno ;-)
quite right, nailit, I suspect most of them double as fox-hunters on the AB country estate.
Certainly a different breed, and I'm not talking about the foxes..
In my eyes they are psychopaths, too.
If Andrea Leadsom becomes the new Tory leader, fox hunting will back on the agenda in a couple of months.
//If Andrea Leadsom becomes the new Tory leader, fox hunting will back on the agenda in a couple of months//

Another Tory psycho? Wouldn't surprise me!
People that couldn't give a *** about the homeless, foodbank users, the sick, etc certainly couldn't give a fig about fox cubs.
suspended? Dam savages should be banged up.
I don't think it is about "the country set" either. I have horses and have been drag-hunting a lot of times and know of many others similar. I would guess the majority if country people like animals. These people are a different breed (not watching the link).

Suspended by a rope Tora.
These people were employees of the hunt, and I assume in their attempt to retain their jobs they did what they thought they had to do to prepare the hounds for their 'job' - I don't honestly think 'hating' foxes comes into it - they see it as a means to an end.
Question Author
Anyone who could do what they have done should not be let anywhere near animals. No remorse, no empathy, just vile human beings.
