She’s been dribbling like mad for a few days and not eating, so took her to vet this eve. She can’t be 100% without a biopsy but showed me a swelling/mass under her tongue. Am so upset.

My dog had a tumour under his chin and the vets just told me to leave it alone. He lived a good life for another year and half. so here's hoping the same will apply to you x
So sorry to see this, Smow, hopefully drugs will help her settle and reassess tomorrow.

Smow, wishing you and your cat all the best, Vets are not always right.

Purring is usually a sign of contentment.

Yes they will right uptil the end.

I haven’t slept a wink. She’s clearly hungry as she keeps going up to her bowls and sniffing them. She’s even put her tongue in a couple but not eaten anything. She’s got eager, cat milk, the special food the vet gave us, nith as it is and also watered down as a drink, bit she’s not touched anything. Am so upset to think she must be starving.

Thinking of you sweetheart xxx

Thankyou x don’t know what to do
All you can do is be there for her and comfort her smow. There is nothing else you can do. xxx
You've got my number if it would help to talk.

She’s curled up next to me and purring away but still not eating a thing, which she can’t do for much longer.....
smow I'm sorry to have to say the end is near sweetheart. thinking of you. xxx
Question Author
I cannot imagine this house without her - I even saw her being born,
Heartbreaking sweetheart. I wish we lived closer. xxx
Smow, cats purr for pain relief, if she is purring when you are not fussing her she is probably uncomfortable. If the vet does the biopsy under general ask him not to wake her up if it is cancer she wont know anything about it. I had to do it with my first cat, she was just 13 too.
Question Author
The vet said they won’t know if it’s cancer until they send the biopsy off so wouldn’t know while she was under. I’m so stressed. Don’t know what to do.
They should be able to do a frozen section and look at the cells straight away. If they cant I would look for a second opinion. Hopefully it will settle down and just be the infection we all hope for.
try some white fish Smow, steam it in the micro and let it cool before putting it out for her.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome xx
