I've just sent for one fruit salad , should be here tonight ( Amazon) for my small Cockapoo
Had one for weeks, the dog ignores it .

Ive tried putting it in his bed, where he sits on the sofa, on the floor, I even put him on it, but hes not in the least bit interested.
A friend of mine bought one and the dog justs sniffs it and moves elsewhere.

Tilly just lies on the wooden floor or the ceramic tiles in the kitchen. We bought her a paddling pool last year and all she does is drink out of it. We do put her in it but she jumps straight out.

Dogs can be very contrary. :-)

They're making someone good money.

Sounds just like my little pooch Tilly, he does exactly the same with the pool, drinks from it, the mat wont go to waste though, I have sat on it and it is very cooling
Well that was going to be delivered tonight, checked the status and it's got 'Delivered to Resident'
Oh no it wasn't , so God knows where it's at, just rang Amazon for a refund, another hot dog tonight :-/
I think pets understand how to cool themselves, and the input from their owners, although well-meant, is not appreciated.

Dogs and cats don't like things that don't feel natural to them - so although you or I would see a cool mat as a great idea, they simply don't, hence the lack of attention and appreciation!

Never mind - let your dog figure out how to keep cool for himself, he obviously prefers it that way.
I leave a damp towel on the bathroom floor which ASBO sometimes uses.
Next door's tom cat stretches out on the tarmac drive in what appears to be the hottest place he can find - there is no accounting for animal preferences!
‘‘Tis true, when I purchased a lovely blue cooling mat for my dog, he did not say , awe thanks, just what I needed .
I bought one of these to wrap around my injured leg and its marvelous. no need to refrigerate and it keeps cool for ages
Update on C Mat, Lola loves it, don't know how to show you in a pic but she does
I love mine too, but won't post a picture as my leg still looks gross.
Hope you don't think I'm being nosy BzF but what happened to your leg?
Sorry for the diversion FS
*nosy' sighhhh
Hi Bobbisox

I have a huge hematoma near my shin bone due to an accident a couple of weeks ago Docs orders to keep leg elevated and cool so the cooling pad came in very handy as its big enough to wrap around the leg. Back at desk duty this week active duty next week hopefully.

(sorry fruitsalad)
Oh how awful, I wish you a full recovery BF
Thanks bobbisox. A few on here are probably glad I'm back at work. No more posting 'pointless' questions on a Q& A site (smiley face)
Haha take no notice BF, a lot do enjoy your questions, I do, I'll be posting Mon-Fri only from now on myself and that's nothing to do with work as I'm retired
