Sinus Pain At Night

Can anyone give me any advice please. Over the last few weeks I have started to get sinus pain during the night around my nose and in my throat, and a runny nose.

This seems to start about 11pm and end about 9am but is really affecting my sleep. I've tried hay fever medication and this has helped a bit but not removed it completely.

My boyfriend said it may be dust mites so I changed all my bedding and vacuumed the mattress but still no better. I've never had hayfever or anything like this before.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Thanks

WELL THANKS A MILLION FOR ALL YOUR ANSWERS AND SUPPORT. I SUPPOSE I WILL JUST HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS SINUS PAIN THEN!!
I'm surprised Sqad's not been on. I don't know anything about sinus pain Tim, so I couldn't help - sorry.
Sinus pain is awful, but doesn't sound like an infection if you are clear through the day.

Try steam inhalation in the evening and sleep with an extra pillow.
No need to shout! I don't have sinus pain as such but have been waking up recently with a thick head and runny nose. Mine gets better once I get up and I was wondering if my beloved feather pillow was to blame. Anyone got any ideas?
Hello Pooka, quite the stranger - you may be right about your pillow, try a synthetic filling will be the best way to tell.

I find if I do get nasal or sinus congestion then sleeping a little higher helps.
Sorry GLT I didn't see your post.
Your symptoms certainly sound like allergic rhinitis and might I suggest that you use Flonase nasal spray which is a steroid but can be purchased over the counter.
Yes Mamyalynne I must give that a try. I do love my feather pillow though!
