I have had a bullmastiff for 10yrs, he is still a puppy. Never grew up, doesn't listen, wrecks stuff, digs holes etc chases his tail..... I have had 3 females that have died in his lifetime due to heart problems but he is fit as a fiddle due to his behaviour. Is it possible he is mentally disable?

maybe inbred and causing him problems.
sounds like a typical male to me !
It doesn't sound like he's having problems. Sounds like a happy chappy.
He sounds like a happy dog...that maybe needed a bit training when younger. ;)
does he still have his testicles?
I had a Bullmastiff/GSD cross who was the same. He was like a giant puppy and very good-natured. He looked like Scooby-Doo. Many big dogs are like that.

Mine died when he was 8 due to a growth in his skull but he was, otherwise, healthy and enjoying life.
Sounds like my cat who behaves like a kitten ALL the time and he's 13 and a half.
I don't think his behaviour has anything to do with his fitness....wrecking stuff and tail chasing sounds more like anxiety than happy go lucky.
Growing up is optional. Especially if you're a domestic pet.

Yes he still has his testicals, maybe they were removed to early. Yes, maybe he could of been trained better however that doesn't explain why the females were great. Going forward, bitches only for me. Thanks for all the advice.

Has he, or hasn't he?
