We call Poppy Rasta when she's ready for a cut. Fortunately she got cut because our mobile groomer was allowed to continue as long as there was no human contact. She drove up our drive and collected Pops from the garden. All her gear is sterilised between cuts and she wore protective gear.
Who? Lola or the groomer ? ;0)
He’s must of taken advice Zac because he’s both mobile and has a salon, they’ve been told they must wear PPE because anything could be on the dogs coat ( especially very curly like she is)
She got permission from the council, police and Trading Standards and carries proof of this. She's also a good friend of mine. Under normal circumstances we also have coffee and s long chat!
I've ben wondering how these DIY livery stables are managing at the moment. Normally everyone rocks up at the same time to turn out and bring horses in, must be a nightmare.
The thing is if his glands aren't done soon, the will become impacted and cause problems for him. I'm even thinking of doing them myself and I've never done it before, checked on YouTube.
You can't just turn out horses like that -what about those that have health problems -laminitis for example? Some horses ( like mine) have to be brought in every day to get their supplements - in my case one of them is on bute for arthritis. Luckily mine are at home. Also I'm talking about DIY livery, not equestrian centres that provide lessons. If you don't know what that means its when you pay for a stable and grazing and do all the work yourself rather than paying someone else. You need to go every day to look after your horse.
We have two horses at working livery in a yard with 15 horses. Two members of staff live on site and now two others are living together 5 minutes away. There is a large holiday and Saturday pony club and all members are now sponsoring the horses and getting weekly updates. The horses are able to be taken on hacks, one ridden and two led and those that need are getting lunge work. None are stabled.

calmck So are those owners that are not allowed to see their horses having to pay for full livery? Can't they not even go at a specific time and give them a pat?
